| Why do all good things come to an end? Or why is change sometimes so hard to adjust to and accept?
PBHA elections were held tonight. I am really happy for all the new officers but I got sad thinking about the inevitable end of my term. My involvement with PBHA has been such as important part of my college experience. Not only has it opened my eyes to important social issues and challenged me to critically think about injustice in our society, it has also given me really meaningful friendships with inspiring people. PBHA has been my family and my home away from home.
I knew senior year was going to be challenging but I never thought it would be this difficult. While it is exciting to plan and look forward to the next chapter of my life, it is also hard to think about how dramatically my life will change in just a few months. Balancing my classes and thesis with applying to law school and trying to figure out what to do after college is not easy.

| My November 2005 resolution is to try to start blogging again. I miss being able to write without consequence and to think freely and ramble about the randomness of our existence. I think my Lit A core on the Book of Job is getting to me. Someone please tell me why the righteous suffer and what makes us pious. Angel, despite being a direct descendant of Lapu Lapu, has not given me a satisfactory answer.
I can't believe that senior year is a quarter over which means that my undergrad life is 13/16 over. It's sad and scary, but exciting. I also have seven months left to find my one true love so that Silva won't have to send me off on a blind date. My horoscope from today's Crimson offers some hope:
"Concentrate on finesse and style; how you orchestrate the first move will make all the difference. Romantic success can be yours."
Now that the stars have predicted a promising future, all I need is divine intervention.

| I love little kids. I was substitute teaching for a class of 6-7 year olds this past week and heard my favorite quote of the summer so far:
Kyarra: Are you Chinese? Me: No, I'm not. Love: She's not Chinese. She's from Africa. Aren't you?
I smile and explain that if the Philippines was located in Africa I would be, but the Philippines is in Asia. They look at me blankly and say "Is that like China?"
